Es una experiencia que engloba s\u00edntomas f\u00edsicos, pensamientos intrusivos, es decir, que no sentimos que podamos controlarlos y conductas de evitaci\u00f3n (no acudir a esa fiesta, no ir a la graduaci\u00f3n, decidir no casarme para no ser el centro de atenci\u00f3n, etc) que pueden afectar seriamente la vida diaria: el trabajo, los estudios y las relaciones personales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"930\">Como psic\u00f3loga, he acompa\u00f1ado a muchas personas que conviven con este miedo constante a interactuar o a exponerse, y s\u00e9 lo agotador que puede llegar a ser. Pero tambi\u00e9n s\u00e9 que <strong data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"927\">es posible aprender a manejarlo y recuperar la confianza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"971\"><strong data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"969\">Qu\u00e9 es la ansiedad social<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"82\" data-end=\"293\">La ansiedad social, o <strong data-start=\"104\" data-end=\"120\">fobia social<\/strong>, es un trastorno de ansiedad caracterizado por un miedo intenso y persistente a situaciones que implican interactuar con otras personas o estar expuesto a su observaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"295\" data-end=\"563\">En estos momentos, la mente interpreta que existe un riesgo real de quedar en evidencia o ser evaluado de forma negativa. Como consecuencia, el cuerpo reacciona activando la respuesta de alerta, como si se tratara de una amenaza real, aunque objetivamente no lo sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"630\"><strong data-start=\"565\" data-end=\"628\">Algunas situaciones que suelen generar ansiedad social son:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"895\">\n<li data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"679\">\n<p data-start=\"633\" data-end=\"679\">Hablar en p\u00fablico o participar en reuniones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"680\" data-end=\"719\">\n<p data-start=\"682\" data-end=\"719\">Conocer a personas por primera vez.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"762\">\n<p data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"762\">Comer o beber mientras otros observan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"842\">\n<p data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"842\">Ser el centro de atenci\u00f3n en eventos como cumplea\u00f1os, graduaciones o bodas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"895\">\n<p data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"895\">Tomar parte en actividades grupales o de equipo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1609\" data-end=\"1648\"><strong data-start=\"1612\" data-end=\"1646\">S\u00edntomas de la ansiedad social<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1737\">La ansiedad social involucra s\u00edntomas <strong data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1699\">f\u00edsicos<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1715\">cognitivos<\/strong> y <strong data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1734\">conductuales<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1753\"><strong data-start=\"1739\" data-end=\"1751\">F\u00edsicos:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1904\">\n<li data-start=\"1754\" data-end=\"1786\">\n<p data-start=\"1756\" data-end=\"1786\">Palpitaciones o taquicardia.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1787\" data-end=\"1811\">\n<p data-start=\"1789\" data-end=\"1811\">Sudoraci\u00f3n excesiva.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1833\">\n<p data-start=\"1814\" data-end=\"1833\">Tensi\u00f3n muscular.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1848\">\n<p data-start=\"1836\" data-end=\"1848\">Temblores.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"1879\">\n<p data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1879\">Enrojecimiento del rostro.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"1904\">\n<p data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1904\">Sequedad en la boca.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1938\"><strong data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1936\">Cognitivos (pensamientos):<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"2062\">\n<li data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1974\">\n<p data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"1974\">\u201cVoy a decir algo inapropiado.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1975\" data-end=\"2019\">\n<p data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"2019\">\u201cSeguro que se nota que estoy nervioso.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2020\" data-end=\"2062\">\n<p data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2062\">\u201cVan a pensar que no soy interesante.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2083\"><strong data-start=\"2064\" data-end=\"2081\">Conductuales (comportamientos):<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2084\" data-end=\"2206\">\n<li data-start=\"2084\" data-end=\"2116\">\n<p data-start=\"2086\" data-end=\"2116\">Evitar situaciones sociales.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2117\" data-end=\"2148\">\n<p data-start=\"2119\" data-end=\"2148\">Pasar desapercibido cuando hay m\u00e1s personas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2149\" data-end=\"2206\">\n<p data-start=\"2151\" data-end=\"2206\">Hablar poco o ensayar demasiado lo que se va a decir.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2213\" data-end=\"2255\"><strong data-start=\"2216\" data-end=\"2253\">Por qu\u00e9 ocurre la ansiedad social<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"86\" data-end=\"182\">Las causas de la ansiedad social pueden ser diversas y, en muchos casos, se combinan entre s\u00ed:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"1149\">\n<li data-start=\"184\" data-end=\"514\">\n<p data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"514\"><strong data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"210\">Factores biol\u00f3gicos:<\/strong> cierta predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica que hace que el sistema nervioso sea m\u00e1s sensible y se active con facilidad. Esto significa que el sistema nervioso simp\u00e1tico \u2014el que prepara al cuerpo para \u201cponerse en alerta\u201d\u2014 puede activarse de forma muy intensa incluso en situaciones que no son realmente peligrosas.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"516\" data-end=\"730\">\n<p data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"730\"><strong data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"543\">Experiencias pasadas:<\/strong> vivencias como humillaciones, rechazo o burlas, especialmente durante la adolescencia, etapa en la que la opini\u00f3n de los dem\u00e1s tiene un peso enorme en la construcci\u00f3n de la autoestima.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"935\">\n<p data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"935\"><strong data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"757\">Modelos aprendidos:<\/strong> crecer en entornos donde la interacci\u00f3n social era escasa o estaba muy controlada, lo que dificulta aprender estrategias para sentirse c\u00f3modo en diferentes contextos sociales.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"1149\">\n<p data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"1149\"><strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"974\">Autoexigencia y perfeccionismo:<\/strong> miedo constante a no cumplir con las expectativas \u2014propias o ajenas\u2014, acompa\u00f1ado de la sensaci\u00f3n de \u201cno ser suficiente\u201d o de que cualquier error ser\u00e1 muy visible y juzgado.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2709\" data-end=\"2753\"><strong data-start=\"2712\" data-end=\"2751\">C\u00f3mo se mantiene la ansiedad social<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2755\" data-end=\"2844\">Uno de los factores que m\u00e1s perpet\u00faa la ansiedad social es el <strong data-start=\"2817\" data-end=\"2841\">c\u00edrculo de evitaci\u00f3n<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"2846\" data-end=\"3069\">\n<li data-start=\"2846\" data-end=\"2894\">\n<p data-start=\"2849\" data-end=\"2894\">Aparece el miedo ante una situaci\u00f3n social.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2895\" data-end=\"2944\">\n<p data-start=\"2898\" data-end=\"2944\">La persona la evita para no sentir ansiedad.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2945\" data-end=\"2993\">\n<p data-start=\"2948\" data-end=\"2993\">Ese alivio inmediato refuerza la evitaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2994\" data-end=\"3069\">\n<p data-start=\"2997\" data-end=\"3069\">El miedo se intensifica porque la persona no llega a enfrentarse a la situaci\u00f3n temida, lo que refuerza pensamientos como: <em data-start=\"218\" data-end=\"239\">\u201cNo puedo con esto\u201d<\/em>, <em data-start=\"241\" data-end=\"259\">\u201cEsto me supera\u201d<\/em>, <em data-start=\"261\" data-end=\"285\">\u201cEs m\u00e1s fuerte que yo\u201d<\/em>, <em data-start=\"287\" data-end=\"315\">\u201cSoy incapaz de manejarlo\u201d<\/em> o <em data-start=\"318\" data-end=\"343\">\u201cNunca voy a superarlo\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"4097\" data-end=\"4142\"><strong data-start=\"4100\" data-end=\"4140\">Consejos pr\u00e1cticos para el d\u00eda a d\u00eda<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"4144\" data-end=\"4441\">\n<li data-start=\"4144\" data-end=\"4208\">\n<p data-start=\"4146\" data-end=\"4208\">Practica <strong data-start=\"4155\" data-end=\"4179\">respiraci\u00f3n profunda<\/strong> antes de un evento social.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4209\" data-end=\"4263\">\n<p data-start=\"4211\" data-end=\"4263\">Limita el consumo de cafe\u00edna y otros estimulantes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4264\" data-end=\"4336\">\n<p data-start=\"4266\" data-end=\"4336\">Enf\u00f3cate en la conversaci\u00f3n y en la otra persona, no en tu ansiedad.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4337\" data-end=\"4397\">\n<p data-start=\"4339\" data-end=\"4397\">Normaliza el hecho de que sentir nervios es algo humano.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4398\" data-end=\"4441\">\n<p data-start=\"4400\" data-end=\"4441\">Celebra cada paso, por peque\u00f1o que sea.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"4448\" data-end=\"4487\"><strong data-start=\"4451\" data-end=\"4485\">Cu\u00e1ndo pedir ayuda profesional<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"4489\" data-end=\"4736\">Si la ansiedad social est\u00e1 interfiriendo en tu trabajo, estudios o relaciones, es momento de buscar apoyo psicol\u00f3gico. No es necesario esperar a que la situaci\u00f3n se vuelva insostenible: cuanto antes empieces, antes podr\u00e1s recuperar tu bienestar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" data-start=\"4743\" data-end=\"4997\"><em data-start=\"4746\" data-end=\"4995\">La ansiedad social no es parte de tu identidad, es una experiencia que puedes aprender a gestionar.
